Holiday Email Campaign Tips for Small Businesses

Its pumpkin spice season! So you know what that means: Mariah Carey is going to be ringing in the holiday season starting…. Like tomorrow!! Which means that if you are looking to host holiday events, boost sales before the end of the year or have one final push towards a goal you set this year, YESTERDAY is when you should have started your holiday email marketing campaigns.

I get it, I am a team of one. Even as I share these tips with  you, I also struggle to stay ahead of the curve. But its never too late to get started and planning doesn’t have to be difficult. What we don’t want is the gift shopping on December 24th stress in our email marketing planning. Also, you don’t have to do it alone: if you need help, I am offering my services as well. So there’s no reason we can’t hit our goals and make this a great holiday season for our audiences.

Fun fact: Emails campaigns are responsible for 20% of online holiday visits.

People are already starting to think about the holiday season, so if you are looking to boost awareness for your products and services, now is the perfect time to start steering people to your website via your newsletters and email campaigns.

Tip 1: If you haven’t started using email to talk to your audience START TODAY!

Fun Fact: People who purchase products through email are likely to spend 138% more than people who don’t receive email offers.

Nobody wants to shop in store during the holidays! And the people who are on your email list are already familiar with you and like you enough to want to hear from you. Use the power of email to help them with their buying experience, removing the stress of having to look around for the perfect gift- its already in their inbox.

Tip 2: Start promoting and growing your email subscriber list.

Fun Fact: People want to shop with small businesses.

People are more becoming more conscious about how they are spending their money- on gifts, donations and events during the holidays. Reach people where they are- on their phones, and in their emails- and give them a reason to support you during the holidays, because you’re offerings are amazing!

Tip 3: Schedule email campaigns on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday.

Fun Fact: On average people need at least 7 interactions to be enticed to engage with a brand.

The rule of 7 is  a helpful reminder that people have a short attention span. But if you couple that with the millions of ads, social media posts, and other marketing people interact with daily, you’re going to need more than 7.

Tip 4: Plans for at least 10 emails in your campaign.

There are exactly 11 weeks until Christmas. So if you’re ready to get started with your email marketing campaign, I have a limited time offer to provide 10 pre written and branded emails to boost your holiday campaign! And in the spirit of giving, I promise you, you will not find a more valuable offer. Space is limited, so grab yours today.

Let’s make this our best holiday season yet!
